Term: 3-4 months (rolling admissions)
Hours: minimum 16 hours per week
Who Should Apply?
To be eligible for an internship at SkyVu Pictures, you must be in or have completed at least one year of college, be a graduate student, or have graduated the year the internship commences.
Summary of Position
Skyvu Pictures offers an exciting internship program geared towards students wanting to pursue a career in production management within the entertainment industry. The internship is intended to give students valuable "hands-on" experience and exposure in a unique animation production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn from working professionals!
Responsibilities
Producer interns will work in collaboration with SkyVu directors and producers to do the following, while gaining valuable experience on a variety of film, TV, and commercial productions:
- Gain knowledge about the SkyVu production process and pipeline
- Provide administrative support to SkyVu’s producers & directors
- Create a supportive, friendly and professional atmosphere in the production office
- Work with producers & directors to assist in the daily operation of the studio and respond where support is needed
- Support Producers and/or Managers with administrative needs including: office work, photocopying, scanning, shipping, mailing and phone support
- Coordinate departmental scheduling of meetings
Qualifications
Background, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required at Minimum:
- General office skills such as scheduling, handling phone calls, typing, filing
- Flexible nature with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/ activities simultaneously
- Consistency; be able to be the positive face of the production at all times
- Excellent people skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy; Photoshop skills preferred
- Strong administrative, detail and follow-up skills
- Positive `can do' attitude while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Working knowledge of database management software a plus (Microsoft, Excel)
- Film production background or interest
- Be highly motivated, mature and eager to be part of the SkyVu team.
- Ability to maintain focus on priorities among multiple assigned tasks in a dynamic work environment.

- Gain knowledge about the SkyVu Pictures animation production process
- Using a variety of professional animation software and your animation ability, you will be supported and challenged as you work through a set of projects geared towards improving your skills and furthering a variety of productions.
- Attend animation dailies, take production notes
- Answer phone calls, studio maintenance, etc.
Qualifications
- Working towards a degree or certificate in animation, film, or related field
- Online Demo reel and/or portfolio that demonstrates application of the principles of art and animation (works in progress are acceptable)
- An art background, which shows a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, texture and form (ie. figure drawings)
- Computer animation experience helpful but not required
- Organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work quickly and collaboratively
- A great attitude and strong work ethic
